We are pleased to announce that WanadevStudio has recently joined the Syndicat National du Jeu Vidéo (SNJV). For us, this is a fairly natural step, in line with our journey so far and with the way we approach our work.

WanadevStudio is an independent, self-funded studio based in Lyon, developing games since 2009. From the very beginning, we have grown at our own pace, with a small and passionate team, always trying to do things properly while never losing sight of the joy of creating. We have been fortunate enough to release more than fifteen games across PC, console, VR, and immersive platforms, distributed on stores such as Steam, PlayStation, Meta, and the App Store. Even today, we remain a human-scale studio, with around ten people involved on a daily basis.

Joining the SNJV is, above all, a way for us to more clearly position ourselves within the French video game ecosystem. We do not claim to have all the answers, nor to represent anything beyond our own work, but we firmly believe that sharing our experience, listening to others, and taking part in collective discussions helps us grow (and hopefully helps the ecosystem grow as well). The topics addressed by the SNJV (employment, funding, recognition of video games, dialogue with institutions...) directly reflect the realities we face as a studio. It therefore felt natural for us to join the initiative and contribute, in our own way and within the means of an independent studio.

This membership also fits into the continuity of our local involvement. We regularly exchange with schools, take part in professional events, and stay attentive to how the industry evolves, especially when it comes to small and mid-sized studios.

By joining the SNJV, WanadevStudio simply wishes to take part in this collective dynamic, learn from others, and contribute, modestly but sincerely, to a stronger French video game ecosystem.
